Coming in 2027
Spartanburg City Council is considering upgrades to concert venue Barnet Park, including plans to anchor the clock tower into the promenade at the park's most prominent entrance. This proposal aligns with a broader regional effort by Upstate music venues to renovate facilities and re-engage audiences. The project offers a dual opportunity to relocate the historic tower while modernizing the amphitheater.
Proposed plans to enhance the stage house and venue design will position the amphitheater to attract artists and visitors and assist in fulfilling the long-term vision of hosting up to six concerts annually running from April to October.
